State Police are investigating a serious crash in Lockport that left a teenager badly hurt.

Troopers say it happened just before 7 a.m. on August 4th, when a 2004 Ford Explorer veered off Beattie Avenue. The SUV went through a front yard, hit a parked vehicle in a driveway, and that vehicle then struck a 15-year-old boy who was waiting for his school bus.

The teen was rushed to Erie County Medical Center with severe leg injuries. The driver of the SUV, a 17-year-old male, was also taken to ECMC.

No arrests have been made at this time, and the crash remains under investigation. State Police say their Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Community Stabilization Unit, and the Niagara County District Attorney’s Office are all assisting.
