Update on Madison County House Explosion

Police have identified the victims of Wednesday night’s house explosion in Madison County.

78-year-old Carl Pynn was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, while his wife, 74-year-old Susan Pynn, was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this stage of its investigation, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office believes the explosion at the Burleson Road home in Lincoln was caused by a propane leak. First responders reported a strong smell of propane at the scene.
