Two Rushed to Upstate Following Tuesday Fire in Salina

Two Salina residents were taken to Upstate Hospital in critical condition after a Tuesday night fire in Onondaga County.

According to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, the fire occurred around 11:30p at a Glendale Ave residence in the Town of Salina.

Liverpool firefighters were quickly able to extinguish the flame. 90-year-old Janet Sugrue and 95-year-old Thomas Sugrue were both found unconscious inside the house and rushed to Upstate Hospital.

While the cause of the fire is still under investigation, officials said it does not appear suspicious.
