Police in Wyoming County say a Tunisian man is awaiting a deportation hearing after he allegedly asked a woman to purchase her five-year-old child.

The Perry Police Department reports Monji Jelassi attempted to entice the woman’s child into his car.

The 64-year-old was taken to a federal detention facility in Batavia when it was discovered he was in the U.S. on an expired visa.
