Three People Killed in Chemung County Head-On Crash

Three people were killed in a collision on Interstate 86 in Chemung County on Friday.

State Police say the accident happened just before 5 in the town of Chemung. A preliminary investigation revealed a 2018 Nissan Maxima driven by a 36-year-old man was driving west when he crossed over the median and struck head-on a 2015 Accura RDX that was traveling east. The 18-year-old male driver and a 44-year-old female passenger of the Accura, along with the driver of the Maxima were all pronounced dead at the scene.

The names of those involved have not been released and the accident investigation continues.
