New York State Police say they are continuing to investigate after a woman was found deceased along railroad tracks on State Route 281 in Cortlandville.
Troopers describe the individual as a middle-aged female, but her identity and the reason she was in the area remain unknown. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
The investigation is ongoing, and police say additional information will be released as it becomes available.
