State Police Identify Victims in Fatal Onondaga County Crash

State Police have released the names of those involved in a fatal two-car accident Saturday afternoon in Onondaga County.

A preliminary investigation reveals that Jacob Korkue, age 21, from Jamesville, was operating a blue 2009 GMC Envoy east on Broadfield Road in the Town of Pompey when he failed to stop for a stop sign and struck a 2018 Jeep Wrangler that was traveling north on Sweet Road. The Jeep was being operated by 71-year-old Edward Agrasto, also of Jamesville.

Korkue was transported by ambulance to Upstate Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  A passenger in the GMC Envoy, identified as Caleb Korkue, age 19, from Jamesville, and a passenger from the Jeep, identified as Susan Tripodi, age 69, from Jamesville, were both transported to Upstate Hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
