Governor Kathy Hochul’s favorability is up, according to a Siena College Research Institute poll released Tuesday.

The poll puts Hochul’s favorability rating at 44-43%, up from 40-50% last month. This is the first time since January 2024 that she has had a positive favorability rating.

It also revealed that 48% of those surveyed said they approve of the job she’s doing as governor, up 2% from March. When it comes to the chances of her being reelected, 36% of those asked said they’d reelect her, while 48% said they’d choose someone else.

The poll was conducted between April 14-16 and saw 802 registered voters take part in it.
