Rochester Man Sideswipes State Trooper on I-590 Traffic Stop

A State Trooper suffered minor injuries after her patrol car was sideswiped as she was conducting a traffic stop on Interstate 590 in the town of Irondequoit.

After Trooper Ashley Augustynek pulled over a 2009 Chevy Tahoe, a 2020 Dodge Ram sideswiped her car and struck the Tahoe, causing it to overturn onto the driver’s side.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, 59-year-old Donald Natale, of Rochester, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, driving while intoxicated, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and reckless endangerment.

Natale and the driver of the Tahoe also suffered minor injuries and were treated at Strong Memorial Hospital.
