The official flag of New York State, displaying its coat of arms, is often used to represent state-level news and initiatives.

70% of New Yorkers say they’re happy to live in the Empire State. That’s according to a Siena College Research Institute poll.

Positive aspects listed by residents include healthcare and education as well the availability of leisure activities. When it comes to attractions and leisure, 47% of state residents say they’ve visited the Finer Lakes.

The state is spilt roughly down the middle on whether they feel safe from crime and 67% of New Yorkers ranked the state as fair or poor when it comes to affordability.

According to the poll, ratings decrease the farther away one is from New York City.
