No One Injured Following Monday I-81 Crash, Car Engulfed in Flames

No one was injured following a Monday evening crash on I-81 in Tully.

According to State Police, the incident happened just before 7:00p when A BMW traveling south began to hydroplane, causing 29-year-old Praisy Gurjar of Mahwah, New Jersey to lose control of her vehicle, pass through the median, and continue into the northbound lanes where she hit a tractor-trailer being driven by Marcos Lemuel Burgado Medina of Whitehall, Pennsylvania. The crash caused the BMW to become fully engulfed in flames.

Neither Gurjar, her passenger, nor Burgado were injured.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Preble, Tully, and Homer Fire Departments, and TLC Ambulance.
