The New York State Fair closed early last night after reports of a chaotic scene at the State Fairgrounds.

Despite multiple calls to 911 by people at the Fairgrounds of shots fired, New York State Police said those reports are false. Troopers confirmed there is no evidence that a shooting occurred.

Police say more information will be available later but gave no timeline for that release.

Today is the last day of the fair.
