Monroe County First Responders Receive Life-Saving Training for Pets

A number of Monroe County first responders took a vital step in ensuring the safety of pets in the community by attending a pet CPR, first aid, and animal handling training conducted by the Perinton Veterinary Hospital in Victor.

Sixteen first responders from nine different agencies participated in this hands-on class, which covered critical scenarios they may face when an animal is involved in an emergency.

Organizers said the training demonstrated a shared commitment to protecting all members of our families, including our beloved pets.
