Man Killed By His Own Dog in Monroe County

Police say a Monroe County man is dead after being attacked by his dog.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Kendall Road in the town of Riga just after 8 p.m. Monday for the report of a dog attack. Deputies found 46-year-old Richard Dambrowski had suffered significant physical trauma from the attack and died of his injuries.

Lollypop Farm Humane Law Enforcement euthanized the dog, an American Pit Bull Terrier.
