Law Enforcement Searching for Vehicle in John Glen Blvd Hit & Run

Law enforcement is searching for a vehicle matching this black Nissan Altima sedan in connection with a hit-and-run incident.

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the driver of a vehicle believed to be involved in a hit-and-run Wednesday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, Wayne Wescott was walking on John Glen Boulevard when he was struck by a dark-colored 2019-2022 Nissan Ultima. The vehicle then left the scene.

After residents called 911, deputies arrived and found the 46-year-old Geddes man on the side of the road severely injured. Wescott was taken to Upstate Hospital in critical condition.

Deputies are searching for the driver and are asking anyone who has knowledge of a vehicle matching that description with damage to contact them at 315-435-3081.
