Governor Kathy Hochul last week signed into law a measure to make it easier for voters to access mail-in voting.

The New York Early Mail Voter Act allows all registered voters to request a mail-in ballot up to 10 days before Election Day. The ballots, which will come with postage-paid return envelopes, must be mailed back by Election Day and received by the local boards of elections no later than seven days after voting occurs.

Hochul said it will make voting easier for average working New Yorkers.
