Ground Breaks on New Buffalo Bills Stadium

Governor Kathy Hochul and officials break ground on the new Buffalo Bills stadium.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul (center, in blue) joins Buffalo Bills and state officials for the groundbreaking ceremony of the new Buffalo Bills stadium.

The ground-breaking ceremonies for the new Buffalo Bills stadium in Orchard Park were held Monday morning.

Governor Kathy Hochul was at the ceremony where she expressed her support for the team

“[I’m the] first governor who’s really a hardcore die-hard Buffalo Bills fan. Let’s just get that out there; I think that’s pretty obvious. I literally grew up down the road in Hamburg here so how could you not love the Buffalo Bills. I could hear them cheering from my house if I wasn’t at the game myself so it’s in my blood.”

The 62,000-seat open-air stadium will cost $1.5 billion dollars and is expected to be ready for the NFL’s 2026 season.
