Governor Kathy Hochul has revealed that she has cancer.

During a press conference with reporters on Thursday, Hochul shared her health news, saying her doctor, in a routine checkup, discovered “a tiny, tiny speck on [her] nose that turned out to be basal cell carcinoma,” a form of skin cancer.

Hochul went on to say, “It’s so small you can’t even see it.”

The Governor was scheduled to undergo a removal procedure Friday morning. She promised to be back to work an hour afterward, with a bandage on her nose.
