Governor Hochul has ordered that flags fly at half staff in New York today in memory of Minnesota State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark Hortman. They were shot and killed in what’s being described as a politically-motivated shooting Saturday. The Governor says “We should be settling our political differences in civil means — like at the ballot box — because violence is never the answer.”
