Drowning in Elmira Pool Under Investigation

A hotel pool drowning in Elmira is under investigation.

Elmira Police say they responded to the Clarion Inn just before 8 Saturday night for the report of an unresponsive person at the bottom of the pool. After police were able to remove Claudell Betts from the pool, he was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.

Police believe no foul play is suspected.
