AAA: Low Demand for Gas Drives Fuel Prices Down

Gas prices continue to drop across New York thanks to a low demand for fuel post-holiday season.

AAA of Western and Central New York reported on Monday the New York State average is $3.32, down three pennies from one week ago. One year ago, the New York average was $3.45. The national average is also down three cents from last week to $3.08 a gallon. The low demand for fuel has increased supply thus pushing pump prices lower.

Diesel prices in New York are down two cents from where they were a week ago to $4.44 a gallon
