2-Year-Old Killed in Cortland County

A tragic accident in Cortland County has claimed the life of a 2-year-old child, who was struck by a vehicle on Sunday.

According to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Landers Corners Road in the Town of Willet. The initial 911 call indicated that a child had been hit by a car in the roadway.

Upon investigation, authorities determined that the child was struck by a vehicle driven by a 76-year-old man.

The child was transported to Wilson Hospital in Binghamton, where he later died from his injuries.

The incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office. No additional details have been released at this time
