12-Year-Old Struck By Car Near Oswego County School

A 12-year-old girl was struck by a car in front of an Oswego County school on Monday afternoon.

A State Police investigation determined that the student was crossing US Route 11 from the Central Square Middle School in Hastings when she failed to see a southbound car and was struck.

The girl suffered serious injuries and was transported to Upstate Medical University Hospital where she is listed in critical condition.

The driver fully cooperated with investigators and is not expected to face any charges.
