Three Killed in Genesee County Car Crash

Three people were killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Genesee County.

According to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Prole Road in the Town of Stafford at approximately 2 a.m. after receiving a report of a motor vehicle crash. Investigators determined that a vehicle traveling northbound left the roadway and struck a tree. Authorities said all three occupants of the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims have been identified as 23-year-old Joseph Martinez of Pavilion, 23-year-old Dylan Pehrson of Batavia, and 22-year-old Megan Merrell of Batavia.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the cause of the accident.
