New York State Police are investigating a fatal structure fire at the Champion Trailer Park in the town of Elbridge.
At 1 p.m., troopers said emergency crews were on scene at Lot 300 of the mobile home park located at 1275 State Route 5. Authorities confirmed one fatality as a result of the fire. Officials said the incident remains active and the total number of occupants involved has not yet been determined.
Motorists are being asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes while emergency personnel continue working at the scene.
State Police said the investigation remains ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
