The Seneca County Health Department is encouraging residents across the Finger Lakes to take part in a new survey aimed at improving access to healthy food and nutrition resources throughout the region.
The “Food & Nutrition in the Finger Lakes” survey seeks feedback from community members on issues including food access, challenges to healthy eating, and local nutrition needs. Health officials say the information collected will help organizations better understand the barriers residents face and identify opportunities to improve services and programs.
Participants can complete the survey in about five minutes and will be entered for a chance to win a $100 grocery gift card.
The initiative is being conducted through a partnership involving the Public Health Institute of Western New York and the Rural Health Network of South Central New York.
Officials encourage anyone who lives in the Finger Lakes region to participate and share their experiences to help guide future food and nutrition efforts.
The survey is available online through the Seneca County Seeks Feedback on Food, Nutrition.
