Families can begin registering children for the Village of Penn Yan’s 2026 Summer Recreation Program during sign-up sessions scheduled for later this week at Indian Pines Park.
The five-week program will run from July 6 through August 7 and will offer games, crafts, outdoor activities, and other recreational opportunities for children entering 4PK through sixth grade. Activities will be held weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Indian Pines Park.
Registration for Village of Penn Yan residents will take place on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Indian Pines Park Pavilion. A second registration session open to all families will be held Saturday, June 13, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the pavilion.
The program is free for children who live within the Village of Penn Yan limits. Non-village residents may participate for a fee of $25 per child, with a maximum family cost of $50. Officials note that some field trips may require additional fees.
Parents and guardians are asked to bring a copy of their child’s immunization record when submitting registration paperwork. Program forms will be available at both registration sessions and may also be dropped off at Village Offices once completed.
Village officials said a downloadable registration packet will be made available soon.
