Judge Kristina “Kitty” Karle, a candidate for New York State Supreme Court in the 7th Judicial District, has received the backing of two major law enforcement organizations — the Rochester Police Locust Club and the Finger Lakes Police Federation.

Karle, who currently serves as a judge, is running for a seat on the New York State Supreme Court in the 7th Judicial District, which covers Cayuga, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, and Yates Counties.

Geoffrey Wiater, president of the Locust Club, announced the endorsement, saying the group’s members “greatly appreciate Judge Karle’s support for the men and women of local law enforcement agencies.”

Karle said she was honored by the support.

“I am deeply honored to receive the Rochester Police Union’s endorsement,” she said in a statement. “Their support recognizes our mutual dedication to the law and to serving all residents with integrity and respect. I humbly accept this trust and pledge to uphold the values that keep our families and neighborhoods safe.”
