A Horseheads man has been arrested following a fatal hit-and-run investigation in the village Sunday night.
According to the Horseheads Police Department, 34-year-old Louis Johnson was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident, a Class D felony.
Police said the charge stems from an incident that happened around 10:40 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Grand Central Avenue and John Street.
Following an investigation, authorities identified Johnson as the suspect and took him into custody. He was transported to the Chemung County Jail pending further court proceedings.
