Residents of the Town of Gorham will have a chance to pick up free driveway stone this weekend through a program approved by the town board.
The stone will be available on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the town transfer station. Officials say the leftover stone from town projects is being offered to help residents maintain the edge of their driveways where they meet the roadway and help protect pavement at curb cuts. Residents can receive up to a half cubic yard of stone, but must shovel the material themselves into their own containers.
Anyone with questions is asked to contact the highway department at (585) 526-5150.
