Geneva General Hospital, part of Finger Lakes Health, offers a free pre-dialysis education class for the community.

Geneva General Hospital’s Dialysis Unit will host a free Pre-Dialysis Education Class on Thursday, May 28, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Geneva General Hospital Dialysis Unit, located at 196 North Street in Geneva.

The class is designed for patients with kidney disease and a support person. It aims to acquaint attendees with kidney disease, treatment options, diet, and adjusting to life with the condition.

Professionals working in nephrology and dialysis lead the class. Its goal is for patients and their families to become familiar and comfortable with kidney disease and the potential options of renal replacement therapy. Patients are encouraged to bring a support person.

Registration is required to attend. Attendees can register online at flhealth.org/events or by calling (315) 787-4580. Registrants must provide their name, phone number, and the number of guests who will be attending.
