Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra has announced its 2026 RPO Outdoors Summer Series, featuring more than a dozen outdoor performances across the Rochester region this July.
The monthlong concert series will bring orchestral music to parks, stadiums, beaches, amphitheaters, and community gathering spaces throughout the area. Performances will include full-orchestra concerts, chamber ensemble shows, and family-friendly community events.
The series opens during the Independence Day holiday weekend under the direction of RPO Music Director Andreas Delfs.
The opening performances include:
- “Red, White and Boom!” at Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center on July 2, featuring patriotic music and fireworks;
- “RPO @ Red Wings” at ESL Federal Credit Union Stadium on July 3;
- and a free concert at the Perinton Center Stage Amphitheatre on July 5.
Additional performances are planned throughout July at locations including Ontario Beach Park, Parcel 5, SUNY Brockport, SUNY Geneseo, Temple B’rith Kodesh, and Genesee Country Village & Museum. The orchestra will also perform in Inlet in the Adirondacks.
Tuesday evenings during the series will feature free chamber ensemble performances in Rochester city parks, supported through funding from Monroe County and the City of Rochester.
The summer series will conclude with the annual “RPO at Bristol Mountain” concert on July 16, with a rain date scheduled for July 19. Organizers say the event will feature pay-what-you-want admission for adults and free admission for children under 18.
RPO officials say many of the concerts are free to attend, while tickets for select performances are available now through the orchestra’s website.
