The Cellar + Folly Whiskey Company storefront in downtown Auburn, New York, is set to reopen this Saturday.

After over a month of closed doors, an Auburn-based distillery is reopening this weekend at a new location.

Cellar & Folly Whiskey Company has announced it will hold a grand reopening celebration from 2:00-10:00p on Saturday at its new location at 131 Genesee St. Attendees are invited to celebrate the distillery’s next chapter in Auburn with free tastings and a new cocktail menu.

Speaking with FLX Local Media, Cellar & Folly co-owner Nick Streeter said he believes the new location will increase its presence in the community.

“When people see us at different events, they say ‘we had no idea you were here’, so we feel the location will act as a hub and make us a more vibrant and visible part of the community,” said Streeter.

Along with the location change, Steeter said the distillery will now have expanded hours: Wednesday – Friday – 4:00-10:00p, Saturday 2:00-10:00p, and Sunday 12:00-5:00p.

The company, founded in 2022, was originally located on York St. On March 28, that location closed as owners sought to expand into the city’s downtown.

Currently, Cellar & Folly produces five whiskeys.
