Finger Lakes Health Rehabilitation Services is offering free Community Mobility Screenings for adults over 65 on Thursday, Dec. 18, at two locations: the rehabilitation department at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, 418 North Main Street, Penn Yan, and at Garnsey Outpatient Rehabilitation Center at Geneva General Hospital, 196 North Street, Geneva.

The screenings are designed to assess participants’ risk for falls, identify strength deficits, and evaluate balance compared to peers. The program aims to use evidence-based tests to help older adults maintain independence and address mobility concerns before they become serious issues.

Each screening takes about 30 minutes to complete. These sessions will be offered on the third Thursday of every month at both locations by Finger Lakes Health. Space is limited, and participants are encouraged to register at least one week in advance.

To schedule a screening, call 315-787-4570 (Geneva) or 315-531-2577 (Penn Yan), or register online at www.flhealth.org.
