Scipio residents can make their voices heard Thursday on a proposed solar farm PILOT agreement.

Representatives from the Cayuga County Industrial Development Agency (CCIDA) and SunEast Scipio Solar LLC will be at the Scipio Fire Station, located at 3550 Rt 34, for a public hearing on the 18 MWac solar development.

The public hearing begins at 4:00p.

Project documents from SunEast can be found on the CCIDA’s website.

The Scipio facility was one of 22 large-scale renewable energy projects throughout the state announced by Governor Kathy Hochul in spring of 2022.
