A Finger Lakes Railway engine, number 2005, is pictured on tracks, likely related to local railroad crossing work in the Finger Lakes region.

Good news for those who travel between Auburn and Weedsport.

Work on the railroad crossing at North (NY-34) and York Streets in the city has been completed. The intersection had been closed since November 2 to allow Finger Lakes Railway to perform upgrades on the tracks.

For nearly a week, motorists were detoured onto Routes 5&20 and Route 38.
