Newark Hires Brandon Smith as Deputy Clerk/Treasurer

Brandon Smith, recently hired as Deputy Clerk/Treasurer for the Village of Newark.

The Village of Newark is pleased to announce the hiring of Brandon Smith for the position of Deputy Clerk/Treasurer. Brandon resides in the Town of Marion with his wife, Kassidi. Prior to moving to Marion, he lived in the Town of Galen and graduated from Lyons Central School District. He has a vast background in various financial and management positions. Brandon is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending time with friends and family. He is looking forward to making new community connections in The Village of Newark.

Mayor Taylor stated, “Brandon has already shown that he can perform the duties of the position well, and with a cheerful personality. The Village Board and I are pleased to welcome him to the team.”

Clerk/Treasurer Lynette Morrison stated, “Brandon has a positive attitude and has jumped right into his duties. His eagerness to learn makes him a great addition to the Village office.  Brandon will be beneficial to our Village for years to come.”
