Children may not want to think about heading back to school but that’s what the Cayuga County Health Department is doing.

They want to help parents ensure their kids are fully vaccinated for the upcoming school year.

The department has announced three vaccination clinics next month with expanded hours: August 1, 8, and 15.

A parent or guardian must be present for the child to get vaccinated and they’re asked to bring their child’s insurance information. The department adds that, if they do not have insurance, they will work with that family to ensure their child is vaccinated.

They say spots are expected to fill up fast so parents are urged to sign up as soon as possible. To book a spot, you can call the department at 315-253-1560.
