Wet weather didn’t stop people from heading to Auburn’s Hoopes Park Tuesday night to take part in the annual National Night Out.

Members of law enforcement, first responders, and related fields were at the park from 5:00-8:00p to engage with the public about the important work they do. The event, held annually on the first Tuesday in August, seeks to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.

Coinciding with National Night Out, Mark Macri & the Funk Junkies will take to the stage at the park to perform as part of the city’s Sumer Concert Series.
