The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office invites residents to participate in their community survey on public safety and law enforcement.

The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is committed to building and maintaining the trust and respect of the citizens we serve.

Public trust is essential to the success of our mission as the office seeks to secure and maintain a safe community. To achieve this, a cooperative relationship between the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office and the public is crucial. By establishing a Community Collaborative Advisement Committee (CCAC) to work in partnership with the Sheriff’s Office, an additional link, or bridge, to the public served by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office has been established.

This collaborative partnership, formed in 2022, allows for direct citizen input and advisement related to the services provided by, and practices of the Sheriff’s Office. This partnership also helps enable and empower community outreach and engagement by the Sheriff’s Office with the public, as well as maintain a platform to embolden the trust and respect of those we serve.
