The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office is spreading some holiday cheer.

This past weekend, the Deputy Sheriff’s Benevolent Association held its annual Shop with a Cop event. This year, 16 kids were treated to a shopping spree at Walmart, each receiving $250. Once finished, they headed to the Owasco Fire Department to wrap gifts and have lunch. The children were then greeted by a surprise visit from Santa Claus.

Sheriff Brian Schenck would like to thank all those who helped make this year’s Shop with a Cop possible, especially Deputy Val Stephens and Sergeant Brian Myers who organized this year’s event.
