Since June, golfers from around the Finger Lakes region have taken to the links competing in what has become an annual tradition, the 108 Holes for Hearts virtual golf tournament. Their efforts along with the generous support of tournament sponsors including Vizient and the Kinney Drugs Foundation raised more than $17,000 for UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health cardiology services, equipment and patient financial aid.

Players selected which hospital’s cardiology program to support, either Geneva General Hospital or Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, then challenged themselves to complete 104 holes of golf (6 rounds of 18 holes, or 12 9-hole rounds) over three months. Players who finished the challenge were entered in a prize drawing. Here are this year’s winners:

First Prize – Wegmans $500 gift card: Mark Lowe, Geneva

Second Prize – Round of Golf for 4 at Clifton Springs Country Club: Michael Gleason, Penn Yan

Third Prize – Tournament Swag Bag: Rachel Rasmussen, Waterloo
