The William Smith cross country team wrapped up its season this morning at the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional Championships, placing 17th out of 23 teams—an improvement of one spot from last year’s finish.

Senior Hope Johnson once again led the Herons, marking the eighth time this season she paced the squad. She completed the 6K course in 24:23.4, placing 76th in a field of 163 runners.
