Nelson Ties Program Record as Keuka Field Hockey Falls to Fisher

The Keuka College field hockey team fell 5–1 to St. John Fisher University in Empire 8 Conference play.

Senior midfielder Tori Nelson (Vernon Center, N.Y. / Vernon-Verona Sherrill) notched her 29th career assist, tying Makaela Mills (2019–23) for the program’s all-time record.

St. John Fisher took control early, scoring in the 10th minute and outshooting Keuka 10–0 in the first half. Goalkeeper Nijeylie Torres (East Irondequoit, N.Y. / Eastridge) made six saves to keep the Wolves within reach at halftime.

The Cardinals added two goals in the third quarter to extend their lead to 3–0, then tacked on two more in the final period. Keuka avoided the shutout in the closing seconds when Alexis McGregor (Liverpool, N.Y. / Liverpool) scored off a pass from Nelson.

Game Notes:

  • Nelson’s assist ties the program record for career assists (29) and moves her into a tie for fifth all-time in single-season assists with six.
  • McGregor’s goal was her fourth of the season, tying for the team lead.
  • The Wolves are now 0–8 all-time against St. John Fisher.
