The Keuka College Women’s Lacrosse team lost on Wednesday to SUNY Geneseo 22-1 in an Empire 8 Conference game at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.

Brooke Bonetti (Seneca Falls, N.Y. / Mynderse Academy) scored for Keuka College (4-7, 1-5 Empire 8).

The Knights jumped out to an early lead, scoring 11 goals in the first quarter. SUNY Geneseo continued from there to lead 17-0 at the half.

Bonetti scored on a free-position opportunity with 3:34 left in the fourth. That proved to be the final goal for either team in the game as SUNY Geneseo defeated Keuka College 22-1.

Wednesday was the 50th career game for Bonetti and for fellow senior Katie Deatherage (Canandaigua, N.Y. / Marcus Whitman).

Lauren Vitello (Webster, N.Y. / Webster Schroeder) made seven saves in goal for the Wolves. She surpassed 250 career saves. The sophomore now has 112 saves on the season, seventh-most in program history.

Keuka College will play its final home game this Saturday, hosting Hartwick College at 1 p.m. at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex. It will also be Senior Day for the Wolves with the annual celebration happening prior to the game.
