Keuka College 8 at RIT 6 – Game 1

RIT took the lead with a run in the first, but the Wolves tied the game and took the lead in the third. Paige Granger (Camden, N.Y. / Camden) led off with a walk and moved to third on a double by Olivia Flynn (Williamson, N.Y. / Williamson). Granger scored on an error and Flynn came home on a double by Makenna DeMoney (Conklin, N.Y. / Susquehanna Valley). Haley Mascho (Bolivar, N.Y. / Bolivar Richburg) added two-out single to score DeMoney and give the Wolves a 4-1 advantage.

The Tigers got one back in the fourth, but the Wolves answered in the fifth. Hailey Jasinski (Buffalo, N.Y. / North Collins) led off the inning with a double and scored on a double by Giana Mruczek (Batavia, N.Y. / Batavia).

The lead would hold until the sixth when the hosts scored three runs to send the game to the seventh tied at 5-5. Jasinski led off with a single, but a pair of pop outs quickly put two outs on the board. Jasinski stole second and scored on a single by Haley Mascho. That sparked three straight hits as Emily Cutrona (Buffalo, N.Y. / West Seneca West) singled and Grace Eagen (Buffalo, N.Y. / West Seneca West) doubled two score a pair and give the Wolves an 8-5 lead.

The Wolves closed it out. RIT got one run back but Abbie DeRock (Hunt, N.Y. / Letchworth) got a groundout to earn the save and end the game with Keuka defeating RIT 8-6.

A walk by Eagen loaded the bases again and Emily Cutrona followed with a walk to force in a run and give the Wolves a 3-0 advantage.

However, the Tigers controlled the rest of the game. RIT scored four in the bottom of the first to take the lead.
