Keuka Men’s Golf Team Sets Record at Fall Invitational

The Keuka College Men’s Golf team had a record-setting performance on Tuesday at their home fall invitational at Lakeside Country Club in Penn Yan.

The Wolves combined to shoot a 330, the best-ever score shot by the Green and Gold at the Keuka College Fall Invitational. As a team, the Wolves took third out of six in the tournament.

Keuka College was together in a pack on the leaderboard on Tuesday. Stephen Carr (New Paltz, N.Y. / New Paltz) and Cam Hovater (Camillus, N.Y. / West Genesee) tied for seventh with an 82. One stroke behind them, Ethan Drinon (Middleburgh, N.Y. / Schoharie) and Dawson Miletich (Malone, N.Y. / Franklin Academy) were just outside of the top ten, tying for eleventh, with an 83. It was a career-low score for Drinon and the first collegiate round for Carr.

The Wolves entered a second team in the tournament as well. Nathan Gillette (Big Flats, N.Y. / Horseheads) led the gold team with a 90.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves will look to continue the strong play on their home course this weekend. Keuka College will welcome Nazareth University to Lakeside for a match-play competition. The Golden Flyers were the tournament winners on Tuesday, besting the Wolves by 12 strokes.
