On Tuesday, four Keuka College Women’s Volleyball student-athletes were named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators.

Graduate students Dayna Edholm (Buffalo, N.Y. / Sweet Home) and Casey Hunziker (Rome, N.Y. / Rome Free Academy) led the way with the third Academic All-District awards of their careers. Seniors Bryn Straub (Irondequoit, N.Y. / Irondequoit) and Sydney Haust (Seneca Falls, N.Y. / Mynderse Academy) earned their first selections.

Keuka College was one of three schools in the Empire 8 Conference with four selections to the Academic All-District list. In total, 26 student-athletes from the conference were honored.

Dayna Edholm was also named a finalist for the Academic All-American ballot. She will be one of four finalists from the Empire 8 on the national ballot with the results being announced in January.

To be eligible for Academic All-District, the student-athlete must have at least a sophomore standing and carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 while playing in at least 90% of the team’s games.
