The Hobart baseball team earned one of 23 at-large bids to the 64-team 2026 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship and will face Mount Union at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Donnie Williams Sea Gull Baseball Stadium in Salisbury, Maryland.
General admission tickets are priced at $10 for a single session and $25 for a weekend pass. Senior citizens can attend for $7 per session or $15 for the weekend, while college students and children are $5 per session or $10 for the weekend. Tickets may be purchased online or at the gate beginning one hour before game time.
The appearance marks Hobart’s second trip to the NCAA Tournament and its first since 1992.
The Statesmen enter the tournament with a 30-13 record after finishing as runners-up in the Liberty League Tournament. Hobart was ranked 46th in the final NCAA Power Index and was among the final teams selected for the field.
Nationally, the Statesmen rank second in triples with 22, fifth in fielding percentage at .977, 22nd in WHIP at 1.38, 24th in shutouts with four, and 25th in walks allowed per nine innings at 3.42.
Mount Union earned an at-large bid with a 31-10 record. The Purple Raiders entered the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament ranked 12th nationally in the D3baseball.com poll. Mount Union ranks 16th nationally in strikeouts per nine innings at 8.9, 17th in sacrifice flies with 33, and owns a .756 winning percentage.
The two teams were originally scheduled to meet earlier this season in Fayetteville, North Carolina, but the weather canceled the game.
The Salisbury Regional will feature a four-team double-elimination format. Host and seventh-ranked Salisbury, which enters with a 32-9 record, will face Bridgewater State, 30-8, in the other opening-round matchup.
