Geneseo Rolls Over Keuka Men’s Lacrosse, 23-2

The Keuka College Men’s Lacrosse team lost at SUNY Geneseo 23-2 in an Empire 8 Conference game on Wednesday.

Kaleb Glessing (Ontario, N.Y. / Wayne) assisted on both of Keuka College’s (3-8, 0-5 Empire 8) goals with Harrison Root (Jefferson, N.J. / Jefferson Township) and Mitchell Wise (Greece, N.Y. / Hilton) getting the tallies. Jaxson Tucker (Canandaigua, N.Y. / Canandaigua Academy) made a season-high 23 saves.

The Knights took the lead early and increased their advantage throughout the first half. SUNY Geneseo led 15-0 at the half.

Out of halftime, Keuka College got the first goal of the second half as Glessing set up Harrison Root for the goal. Geneseo answered with a pair of goals before Mitchell Wise scored for the Wolves.

The Knights closed the goal with six unanswered goals to defeat Keuka College 23-2.

  • Wednesday was the first conference game between the two programs
  • Tucker’s 23 saves tied for tenth-most in a game in program history
  • With his saves, Tucker moved his season save total to 151, entering the top ten and slotting into seventh on the single-season list at Keuka
